Valerie McNally (Remenda)
Class of 1977
Valerie McNally (nee Remenda) is a graduate from the Humboldt Collegiate Institute from 1977. She has been the president of the Alumni association for the past 10 years. Alongside Valerie's residency within the community she has also established herself as a business owner. Her business, Sixth Avenue Stylists has been owned and operated by she and her husband Roy for over 32 years. When she isn't running Sixth Ave, Valerie enjoys spending her time fishing at nearby lakes with her family, and warm winter vacations if she can squeeze them in. Valerie is looking forward to heading up the reunion organization committee, and is pumped that the Humboldt Collegiate Institute Centennial Reunion will be held in the new school facility. Valerie hopes to see everyone in 2012!

Lois Winkel (Brockmeyer)
Class of 1969
Lois Winkel (nee Brockmeyer) is a graduate from the Humboldt Collegiate Institute from 1969. She has been on the executive of the alumni association for the past 10 years. She retired from Carlton Trail Regional College in 2007 and developed many first-time educational programs for students and adults of the region.
Since 1998, Lois was instrumental in the formation of Water Ridge Park which has developed into a beautiful greenspace for the City of Humboldt and area. Lois now spends her time gardening, travelling, watching hockey and looking after her grandchildren. Lois and Leon (graduate of H.C.I. 1966) have three children, Tanya, Scott and Michael. Lois hopes to see everyone at the 2012 reunion!

Aaron Behiel
Class of 1992
Aaron graduated from HCI and he moved to Saskatoon in 1992 to further his education. After taking a number of years off from school and exploring various options he settled into the College of Law in 2000. He received his Bachelor of Laws degree with distinction in 2003.Aaron moved back to Humboldt in 2004 and since returning to Humboldt Aaron has spent two years on the Board of Directors for the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce and is currently on City Council and on the Board of Directors for Carlton Trail Regional College.
Aaron and his wife, Corinne, have three young children, two boys, Aiden, and Keaton, and a girl, Miranda.In his free time Aaron enjoys camping, fishing, golfing, traveling and various other outdoor activities.
Lynne Brecht (Saret)
Class of 1976*
Lynne Brecht (nee Saret) graduated from HCI in 1976. After spending three years in Calgary she moved back to Humboldt in 1980 to raise her family. She has worked within the farming industry as Office Manager for Horizon Fertilizers Ltd. for the past 16 years.
Her passion is her family….alongside her husband Wally they have 5 children and five awesome grandchildren. Away from the office she enjoys golfing, red wine & good friends. She looks forward to seeing everyone attending the reunion of 2012 and making it a huge success in our centennial year.
Wayne Bowman
Class of 1981
Wayne completed Grades 10-12 at HCI and graduated in 1981. He was on the organizing committee for his Class of 1981 reunions for their 20th and 25th year reunions.
Wayne operates a mixed grain and cow-calf farming operation (discontinued grain operation in 2008) and has worked in the construction and trucking industry since highschool.
Wayne and his wife Coleen have 4 kids: Sheldon, Kaitlyn (both graduated from HCI), Chantelle (current HCI student) and Dylan.
Wayne's interests are the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Amanda Gessner (maiden name)
Class of 2004
Amanda Gessner graduated from Humboldt Collegiate Institute in 2004. She is a new member to the HCI reunion committee and looking forward to helping out as much as possible. In 2005 Amanda went to Macra College in Saskatoon to take cosmetology, she then joined the team at Sixth Avenue Stylists in 2008. She also keeps herself busy by working at the Bella Vista Inn since 2007. When Amanda isn’t working she loves to travel, in 2006 she traveled to Asia for a couple months. Amanda is very excited to be apart of the committee and hopes to she sees fellow graduates from her class and many more in 2012.
Eugene Graf
Class of 1980
Eugene Graf attended Grades 9 - 12 at Humboldt Collegiate Institute and graduated in 1980. Eugene currently lives in Humboldt and has been employeed with the Humboldt Co-op for the past 30 years.
Eugene and his wife Laurie (Back) have 3 daughters, Addison, Kayle and Chenelle who have all attended HCI as well.
Eugene's interests included camping, fishing, hunting, biking and hot winter holidays.
Hope to see everyone at the 2012 reunion.
Brian Grest
Class of 1982
Brian Grest attended grades 9-12 at Humboldt Collegiate and graduated in 1982. He left Humboldt in 1983 to pursue a degree in education at the University of Saskatchewan and taught for 17 years with stops in Punnichy, Govan, Davidson, Dundurn, and Hanley. Brian moved back to Humboldt with his wife Janet Szautner (also from the HCI Class of '82) and their then five-year-old daughter in 2005 after accepting a teaching position in Lanigan. In 2006 he accepted the position as Athletic Director with Horizon School Division, a position he still holds. Interestingly, at the time of this writing his office was located in Humboldt Collegiate. Brian is looking forward to the opportunity to assist in the planning of HCI Reunion 2012 and touching base with fellow alumni.
Shelley Wylie (Saret)
Class of 1980
Shelley Wylie (nee) Saret graduated from HCI in 1980. She returned to Humboldt in 1995 with her husband Kim to begin a family and enjoy small town life. She was a stay at home mom up until 2007 when she decided to take up some casual work as a substitute EA. When she isn’t running with kids or working she enjoys golfing, going to the lake and spending time with family and friends. Shelley was a member of the organization committee at the last reunion and is currently active in helping plan the reunion for 2012. She is excited to see everyone return to rehash old memories, renew friendships and have a lot of fun!
Christopher Nienaber
Class of 2002
Christopher Nienaber, A+, MCP, MCSA: Messaging, grew up in Annaheim, Saskatchewan, in 1998 his family moved to Humboldt and he attended grades 9-12 at Humboldt Collegiate, graduating in 2002. Following High School, Chris attended St. Peter’s College completing 1 year of Arts and Science, his career path took an unexpected, yet natural turn the following year and in 2004 he graduated from Saskatoon Business College with an Honours Diploma in Information Technology. He worked for a few years in Saskatoon before moving back to the community he had always called home in 2007. He accepted a position as a Computer Technician with Horizon School Division - a position he currently holds. Chris looks forward to being a part of the HCI reunion of 2012 and hopes to re-connect with the fellow graduates with whom he shared his high school years.
